Why is part of the keyboard so yellowed
Excellent technique and expression. You do both simultaneously, perhaps the way it should be.
The piano sound itself is exquisite. Steinway?
Allemande totally jncorrect tempo..character😢
Meravigliosi!!!!!!
I had no idea she stopped playing at 28. Wow. As a 29 year old, that’s unbelievable. And that she died at 42. I had no idea.
Kerson Leong just has the most expressive face. No wonder the camera was more on his face than anywhere else. The music is beautiful. Was it written for a particular event?
0:14 and 2:08 he plays A flat instead of A natural in the left hand.
Why on Earth does this have only 3000 views. Ya'll don't know what you're missing. What are you waiting for?
Smashing Piece indeed. And to think one of his only works that wasn't commissioned😊 I believe he wrote this from the heart.
This recording is pure pleasure 🙏🏻😍 Absolutely amazing!!!
I almost finished this book and I have to say: it’s fantastic! Worthwhile to read for everybody who is interested in recent classical music and history
I weep with joy. This demonstrates how the greatest music is utterly universal. I truly believe that if the works of Bach or Beethoven were somehow to make their way to the civilisation on some planet in a distant star system, however remote, they would appreciate its greatness and find ways to perform it to each other. Would Step #3 be to wear clothing that isn’t too restricted, but comfortable for performance?
Bellissima interpretazione di vivaldi, finalmente qualcuno che dice qualcosa di nuovo ( in un pezzo trito e ritrito..) con grande sensibilità e personalità. Bravo
Fifteen for me. Levinne, Rachmaninoff, Hofmann, Backhaus, Artur Rubinstein, Gieseking, Arrau, Horowitz, Gilels, Richter, Michelangeli, Gould, Gulda, Pollini RIP, Argerich. Only these.
Passion or obsession? This woman was indeed a mystery! She obviously lived on stage what she could't attain in real life! Gorgeous indeed but no one to truly make her feel like a real woman! The appearance of that Russian fellow was probably the worst thing that could have happened to that woman! Good for her career but dreadful for her private life!
Por que?
Absolutely extraordinary!Amazing rendition!!
19:00
thank you for this wonderful "4 hands " performance
Wait a minute because not me kindness is wisely be. Meaningful. Thank you.
I cannot tell you how many times I've listened to this recently it's so incredibly well done. These pieces by Rachmaninoff do not get enough attention!
Great to know his thoughts behind the recordings.
Thank you for posting this - Klaus Makela is an exceptional conductor, so young yet so grounded and appreciative of the essence of music! The fact that he is so personable and works so well with members of orchestras making him unique.
9:22 One of the only recordings I've heard in which the figuration in bars 5 and 11 is phrased as Rachmaninoff wrote it.
Another thrilling interview from Krystian Zimerman . Always relevant on many subjects. Everytime a great pleasure to listen to him. ❤
Mr. Zimerman, putting off Symphony Concertante to the next life is the most scary thing! How are you sure you are going to meet Mr. Rattle there?!
It's humour I thank.
Bitte, bitte schickt uns Alles, was dieser wundervolle Christopher Nupen mit Daniil Trifonov gedreht hat in einem Stueck !!! ??? 😢
A great piece by the great Handel and performed by musicians of distinction, however I feel the tempo could have been slightly slower❤
Playing with great depth. Bravo. I almost skipped without listening assuming you would be another note player. Thank you for sharing.

Wow wow. I'm reallyy glad tocomee here by a personal recommendationn. What an exceptional performance. Thanks for sharing it. Added to my favourites list.
Any chance we can get videos of performances and interviews rather than just podcasts ? Your last video was 3 months ago :-( These should be coming out weekly. This is the 21st Century...
He is a genius. Daniil Trifonov ❤
Thanks for such beautiful recordings. Being a violinist myself I welcome your selections,a few new to me.
last I heard the fourth symphony was canceled by the stalin regime, he wasn't allowed to bring it on stage
It's interesting what he says about live recordings and having to make a choice between playing for the microphone or the audience. I wonder why it is then that he goes so crazy when people make audience recordings of his concerts, especially when they are recorded in good sound. Seems the only way to reconcile the two, no?
THE BEST !!!!❤
There is J Heifetz. And then rest other great violinists.
I’m apologize, but there is not anything simple in Bach Nothing else after Bach is an universe
How likely is it for Zimerman to perform in the US?
He won’t go to US anymore they destroyed his piano during shipping
Above all, he couldn't agree withe Irakian war in 2003 and the US project to put missiles in Poland in 2009. Finally this project dropped down He was afraid his country should be involved in a conflict as Ukraine since two years now .
Jak zawsze przyjemnie słucha się Krystiana.
Funny how many audiophiles love classical music and this podcast's sound quality anything to be 'philed
Очень хорошо ! Спасибо.
Eileen Joyce, Moura Lympany, Norma Fisher, Rosalyn Tureck, Clara Haskil, Guiomar Novaes, Lili Kraus, Maria Yudina, Monique de La Bruchollerie, Marcelle Meyer
Tecnica incomparabile....delicato e potente.Emoxionante e vigoroso...trionfante.❤
Wonderful interview. Maestro Zimerman's comments on digital music and studio recordings were eye-opening to me. As a country mouse I am only rarely privileged to hear live performance and I am grateful that he and many other superb musicians continue to provide us a glimmer of their artistry from the studio and live recordings. I find his recent Szymanowski recording sublime, much as I find the Mythes he recorded with Kaja Danczowska. Bravo and thank you.
